摘要

A possible mechanism has been identified for the dehydrogenative polymerization of silanes to polysilanes by zirconium and hafnium catalysts. This mechanism is based on sigma-bond metathesis processes. A new copper siloxide, the first for copper(II), is reported. This compound was designed as a molecular precursor to a copper silicate.
