摘要

Impact of sociolinguistic factors on morale has yet to be investigated by any of the military services. Because at any one time there are more than 400,000 U.S. troops stationed overseas, this study is necessary first step in assessing to what extent sociolinguistic factors figure into the overall morale picture. The survey resulting from this study is developed to illustrate the widespread nature of problem areas, if any, across the board or in specific host countries, to point to particular sociolinguistic areas of concern to airmen, and to indicate possible deficiencies in the overseas transition process, as well as point to possible improvement areas which if acted upon could increase voluntary overseas tour extensions. Keywords: Government(Foreign), Air Force personnel. (eg)
