Chaplain Garrison Services and Their Relevance to the Human Dimension.

This paper examines the chaplain's role in supporting the Concept for the Human Dimension in Full Spectrum Operations in a Joint Environment. The author recommends a strategic action plan focused on Religious Support in U.S. Army Garrisons for Chaplain Service's support of the concept of the Human Dimension. It is incumbent upon the Chaplain Corps to be relevant and beneficial to the Army, both spiritually and systemically. The question is 'are we there.' If so, how do chaplains continue to successfully sustain those services in the midst of dwindling resources, especially for garrison support. In addition, how do chaplains stay current with the challenges of a Joint Interagency Intergovernmental Multi-cultural (JIIM) environment. If not relevant as a corps, what does the Chaplain Corps do to align with the Army's concept for the Human Dimension and become more joint.
