摘要

This paper discusses a computational approach to fit atmospheric parameters byusing an abbreviated table of altitude versus pressure or density. The well accepted Chebyshev model is used as a baseline reference to judge accuracy, flexibility, and speed of computation. After showing that the Chebyshev polynomial expansion is somewhat fixed for a given standard atmosphere with no quick means available to the user for altering the model's coefficients or efficiency, the computer graphics technique of parabolic blending is explored as the alternative. By modifying the parabolic blending technique, the end product is a faster fit, applicable to any atmosphere, that can easily be tailored and modified by the user....
