Problem of Plate Modeling Theoretical and Computational Results

摘要

The paper analyzes in detail the problem of various plate models, properties oftheir solution and the question how well these models approximate the 3 dimensional formulation. The boundary layer and corner singularities of the solution are analyzed. A hierarchy of the models converging to the 3 dimensional solution is constructed. The detailed numerical computations show various basic aspects of plate modeling in a concrete setting.
