Efforts have been concerned with mechanisms of the protective immune response tothe flavivirus nonstructural protein NS1 and to identification of protective NS1 domains for incorporation into possible future subunit flavivirus vaccines. This report summarizes work performed during the funding period and includes data from experiments initiated in our laboratory as well as from these performed in collaboration with our colleagues in other institutions.
