Procedure to Sterilize Dental Burs with Dry Heat

Since dental burs are a source of cross-contamination among patients and dentalpersonnel, sterilization of burs is a recommended infection control procedure. Dry heat is considered an effective and preferred method to sterilize dental burs. This paper describes an efficient clinical procedure, which can be used in dental clinics and operatories, for the dry heat sterilization of dental burs. Reprints. (edc)
