摘要

The annexins are a family of recently identified calcium-dependent phospholipidbinding proteins with preference for anionic phospholipid. Chromosomal mapping of the genes for annexins III, IV, and V was undertaken as part of a study of their structure and function. The genes for annexin III and annexin V were localized to human chromosome 4 by utilizing a panel of human-hamster somatic cell hybrids and the polymerase chain reaction to amplify intron containing regions of these genes. Verification of these two localizations was performed using a human-mouse hybrid cell line containing human chromosome 4 as its only human DNA complement. Verification of the localization of annexin III was also performed using Southern blot analysis of genomic DNA specimens from the hybrid cell panel digested with Hind III. The annexin IV gene was not definitively localized in this study. (js)
