Effects of Athletic Mouth Protectors upon Work of Breathing during Exercise

A clinical investigation was undertaken to determine the effects of commonly-usedathletic mouth protectors upon work of breathing during exercise. Results of the investigation indicated a significant increase in work of breathing when intraoral mouth protectors were used.
