This project seeks to develop methodologies for attachment of cell-surfacebinding sites to solid surfaces using hydrophilic tethers that incorporate reversible linkers. Characterization of Jeffamine copolymers by capillary zone electrophoresis allows the chainlength distribution to be assayed for industrially available hydrophilic tether components. Organic synthesis is used to prepare shorter tether constituents with fluoridolyzable linkages.
