摘要

I-Silacyclopent-3-ene (I) undergoes anionic ring opening polymerization catalyzedby methyllithium HMPA to yield poly(1-sila-cis-pent-3-ene) (II). II was characterized by 1H, 13C, and 29 Si NMR, GPC, TGa and elemental analysis. The low molecular weight of II permits end group analysis. Pyrolysis of II gives high char yields. These have been characterized by EDS (energy dispersive spectra).
