摘要

In this paper, a stochastic model is developed to evaluate the decompositionscheduling approach. Since the scheduling complexity of the approach directly depends on the number of tasks in every subset, we calculate the probability of the event that there are n tasks in a subset, for any n, and then the expected number of tasks in a subset. The results indicate that the decomposition scheduling technique not only assures the generation of a feasible schedule if one exists, but also is computationally efficient.
