摘要

A design analysis was conducted to develop an inductive ignition concept for ordnance. Mathematical models were developed to examine the transformer for optimum performance. Results indicate that significant energy transfer to an electric primer can be obtained using a simple pulse transformer. Experimental results using a capacitive pulsed power supply indicate reasonable agreement with the models for short -times. Deviations from the theoretical model can be explained by nonlinear materials effects and field diffusion in the surrounding barrel wails.
