Vibration of a Rectangular Cantilever Plate

摘要

In preparation for an experimental evaluation of the photogrammetry technique formeasuring vibration mode shapes, a cantilever steel plate was designed. This report describes the theoretical methods used to calculate the low order natural frequencies and mode shapes of the plate, and compares one of these with the results obtained by a traditional experimental procedure.
