Dynamic Bulk Modulus of Soft Elastomers

The measurement of the dynamic bulk modulus is an integral part of thecharacterization of the elastic properties of soft elastomers. An overview is given of measurement methods, and a discussion of the acoustic coupler method is presented. The data are interpreted in the light of frequency-temperature shift phenomena, and a new reduction scheme is proposed with temperature as the basic variable.
