摘要

A new approach to the photoinduced release of contents from phosphatidylcholinebilayer vesicles is described. Phosphatidylcholines are suspended in dilute aqueous solutions of 3,3'-dicarboxydiphenyliodonium salts and the hydrophobic polyelectrolyte poly(2-ethylacrylic acid). Irradiation of such suspensions results in generation of strong acid and pH-dependent adsorption of the polymer on the lipid membrane surface. Polyelectrolyte adsorption drives a vesicle to micelle transition in the lipid aggregate and causes quantitative release of vesicle contents.
