Evaluation of User Information Satisfaction of the Composite Health Care System.

This thesis describes the level of User Information Satisfaction with the Composite Health Care System (CHCS). A short-form User Information Satisfaction questionnaire, developed by Baroudi and Orlikowski (1988), was administered to CHCS users at the Naval Hospital, Charleston. Dividing the users into three work groups: Physicians, Administrative, and Ancillary personnel; statistically significant differences between groups were found. Overall, physicians were least satisfied and administrative personnel were the most satisfied of the groups. The respondents as a whole showed noticeable differences in satisfaction with factors that comprise User Information Satisfaction. The respondents were dissatisfied with the factor relating to software contractor's services. However, the users were very satisfied with the factor describing local Management Information Department services.
