Development of a Design Database for the Computer Aided Prototyping System

摘要

The Computer Aided Prototyping System (CAPS) was created to rapidly prototypereal time systems to determine early in the development cycle whether system requirements can be met. The CAPS consists of several software tools that automatically generate an executable Ada model of the proposed system. This thesis describes the development of a design database (DDB) for the CAPS. The DDB is an engineering database that contains all information related to a prototype software design. The DDB enhances the CAPS environment and the prototyping paradigm by providing to the designer the functions of storage, retrieval, viewing, and versioning of prototype components.
