This document outlines the action plan for assignment A91KL680, aimed at researchon the Digital Geographical Information System (DGIS) which supports command and control within the Royal Army. The research follows two directions. One direction is based on the application of a commercial GIS. The other direction is based on the application of a research GIS. Based on GIS requirements from the users, implementation of those requirements will take place on the most appropriate GIS or on both systems. The study will be concluded with a comparison of both systems. The action plan contains detailed information about the purpose, workpackages, schedules and project organization.
