Guide to Document Security Markings and Distribution Statements Used by NATO andNATO Member Nations (Guide Concernant les Mentions de Securite et de Diffusion Utilisees par l'OTAN et les Pays Membres de l'OTAN)

This report presents the results of a survey made by the AGARD TechnicalInformation Panel of current security classification and other markings which NATO and the NATO Member Nations apply to their documentation to give it a proper degree of protection and, if necessary, limit its distribution. The purpose of the report, which is informal in character and intended to supplement official rules and regulations (not replace them), is to inform all those whose duties involve the distribution, custody, and use of such documents of the results of the survey so that the intentions of the publishing agencies/countries are properly and more widely understood and respected.
