How Do We Improve Heavy Forces Training for Combat in Low Intensity Conflict

In years to come the United States will continue to be involved in low intensityconflicts. All elements of national power--political, economical, informational and military--will be used to solve these confrontations. If all else fails, combat operations may be required to secure national objectives. The forces consisting of heavy, light, SOF, joint and allied forces. This paper will make suggestions that will improve unit training plans and make recommendations for the army's training system that will improve readiness for this combat in low intensity conflict.
