Conductivity-Temperature-Depth Profiling of the Columbia River Mouth Using Pacific Harbor Seals as Sampling Platforms.

摘要

The long-term goal of this study is to assess the feasibility of using pinnipeds as autonomous sampling platforms to collect oceanographic data for use in predicting the dynamics of nearshore, estuarine, and riverine environments. The specific objectives of this study are to use harbor seals to collect georeferenced conductivity, temperature, and depth data for use in modeling the dynamics of the Columbia River Mouth.
