摘要

Photolysis of Cr(CO)5 C6H12 with 532-nm light was studied with picosecondtransient infrared spectroscopy. A subpopulation of transients corresponding to uncoordinated Cr(CO)5 was observed. A larger population of vibrationally excited Cr(CO)5 rapidly formed CR(CO)5 C6H12 with excitation in its CO stretching mode. New experiments with UV photolysis of CR(CO)6 at 300 nm identify vibrationally excited CR(CO)6. These data are used to discuss the mechanism of photolysis and reaction.
