摘要

A poly 3-methylthiophene (PMT) cathode showed excellent coulombic efficiencyduring cycling in a lithium rechargeable cell. An electrolyte containing dimethyl carbonate was used since it is stable at the high anodic potentials reached during cell charging. The polymer cathode tolerated modest overcharge and was able to continue cycling after a severe short-circuit with minimal loss of capacity. Batteries; lithium; nonaqueous electrolytes; cathodes; polymers; thiophenes.
