摘要

Monte Carlo simulations of scattering of waves by one-dimensional random roughgold surfaces at optical frequencies are investigated by the use of the finite--element method. Both TE and TM plane wave incidences are considered. Backscattering enhancements are observed for all the cases studied in this report.
