Blade Curving Effects in a Turbine Stator Cascade with Low Aspect Ratio.

In a low speed plane cascade tunnel, the experiments for the cascades equipped with conventional straight blades, linear inclined blades and curvilinear blades were carried out. Through the comparisons of the experimental results, the improving effects of blade curving on the flow fields are discussed. The experimental results show that using curvilinear blades in the rectangular turbine stator cascades with low aspect ratio can reduce the overall flow loss by 30-40%.
