This report extends both the traditional Lagrange gradient equation, and the chambrage gradient equation, to account for boattail intrusion. It compares the analytic pressure gradient with that predicted by XKTC and assesses the extent to which the effects of boattail intrusion account for the differences in boattail predictions. The gradient equation, with boattail addition, captures qualitatively, if not quantitatively, the effects for normal c/m's, although some questions remain about the physics of the gradient model.
