摘要

Two new trivalent metal selenites have been prepared hydrothermally andcharacterized by single crystal x-ray diffraction methods. Indium hydrogen selenite,InHSe2O6, is monoclinic with a = 6.5890 (4), b = 10.002 (1), c = 8.5653 (7) A, and Beta = 92.694 (9)deg, space group P21/c, and consists of isolated pairs of edge-sharing InO6 octahedra connected by SeO3/HSeO3 groups. It is isostructural with FeHSe2O6. Chromium selenite trihydrate, Cr2(SeO3)3.3H20, is rhombohedral, space group R3c, with a = 8.540 (4) A and (alpha x = 65.70) (1) deg, and contains a 3-dimensional network of isolated chromium octahedra, linked by selenite groups. It is an isomorph of Ga2(SeO3)3.3H2O and Al2(SeO3)3.3H2O.
