Exploiting Structural Symmetry in a Sparse Partial Pivoting Code. (Reannouncementwith New Availability Information)

摘要

This short communication shows how to take advantage of structural symmetry toimprove the performance of a class of partial pivoting codes for the LU factorization of large sparse unsymmetric matrices. Experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of this technique in reducing the overall factorization time.
