Development of a Decision Method for Glass Windows Subjected to Blast Loadings

摘要

The purpose of this research is to develop a method which can be used to predictthe dynamic response of rectangular glass plates subjected to uniform blast loadings of varying durations. A computer code developed using an equivalent mass and force approach is presented. The results generated using this code are compared to results obtained from a detailed finite element solution and actual test data. The results of this comparison verify that the developed computer code provides a reasonable design tool.
