The SLQ-32 is the Navy's primary electronic warfare system to protect shipsagainst threat missiles. The Navy has spent more than $1.7 billion for the SLQ-32 and plans to spend hundreds of millions of dollars to buy more systems. At the request of the Chairman of the House Committee on Armed Services, GAO evaluated the SLQ-32's performance capability.
