Sulfur Isotope Fractionation by Sulfate-Reducing Bacteria in Corrosion Products.(Reannouncement with New Availability Information)

摘要

Sulfur isotope fractionation was demonstrated in preliminary studies of productsresulting from the activities of sulfate-reducing bacteria within biofilms on copper surfaces. S32 accumulated in corrosion products, S34 was concentrated in the culture medium. The accumulation of the lighter isotope was related to surface derivatization or corrosion as measured by weight loss.
