Pursuant to provisions of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) , 42 U.S. Code 4321 et seq, implementing Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ) Regulations, 40 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) 1500-1508, and 32 CFR Part 989, Environmental Impact Analysis Process ( EIAP), the U.S. Air Force (Air Force) conducted an assessment of the potential environmental consequences of constructing an antenna parts storage facility and demolishing the hazardous materials storage shed and oil change pit. This Environmental Assessment (EA), Construction of Antenna Parts Storage Facility and Demolition of Hazardous Materials Storage Shed and Oil Change Pit Jordan Lake Air Force Space Surveillance Station (AFSSS), AL, incorporated by reference in this finding, considers the potential impacts of the Proposed Action on the natural and human environments. The Proposed Action is to construct a 325 square foot antenna parts storage facility and demolish the hazardous materials storage shed and oil change pit. The No Action Alternative is not to construct a new storage facility and not to demolish the hazardous materials storage shed and oil change pit.
