Message-Driven Programming System for Fine-Grain Multicomputers.

摘要

Recently, two radical new architectural experiments have been conducted at Caltech and MIT. At Caltech, the Mosaic architecture, developed by the Submicron Systems Architecture Project, is designed expressly to support efficient fine-grain process execution. The J-machine is a similar design, developed at MIT by the Concurrent Project, that supports fine-grain processes but also provides on-chip associative memory, and hardware support for process synchronization.
