This report describes a silicon-based sensor that employs a biotin-streptavidininduced filtration capture of immunocomplexes in a rapid sandwich assay that was used to develop assays for the quantitative detection of relevant biochemical detector toxin and pathogen agents. Reagent components were prepared for assay testing utilizing immunoligand chemistry on the light addressable potentiometric sensor. The purpose of the work was to determine the lower limit of detection and sensitivity of Vibrio cholerae (toxin), Bacillus anthracis (bacteria), and Bacillus subtilus var. niger (bacteria) in the presence of government-furnished antibodies.
