Elimination off Resonance in Finite-Width Conductor-Backed Coplanar Waveguides

摘要

This paper presents experimental results for the transmission characteristics ofseveral finite-width multilayered conductor-backed coplanar waveguides(FW-CBCPW). It is found the resonance in the transmission of FW-CBCPW is caused by the energy leakage from the dominant CPW mode. Two multilayered structures are shown to be effective in eliminating the resonance. They are feasible and practical in uniplanar MMIC circuit design due to their planar nature. jg.
