If mosquitoes can't bite you, you can't get malaria. Table 1 shows the methods ofprotection from biting insects. These methods will also protect against many other mosquito-borne diseases, such as dengue fever and Japanese encephalitis, as well as diseases spread by other arthropods such as ticks and biting flies. They should be employed to the fullest extent practicable in the operational setting.
