摘要

During the past ten years, theoreticians and experimentalists have been jointlydeveloping degenerate four-wave mixing (DFWM) as an application of nonlinear optical phase conjugation. These efforts have shown that DFWM can be successfully used as a non-intrusive spectroscopic technique for detecting and quantifying molecular species in both reacting and non-reacting systems. Some advantages of DFWM include the generation of a coherent signal beam, the use of a single laser frequency, and avoidance of collisional energy transfer and quenching effects. jg p.3.
