High Spurious Free Dynamic Range Fibre Link Using a SemiconductorElectroabsorption Modulator

摘要

This paper reports that a 1.32 um suboctave analogue fiber optic link with ameasured spurious free dynamic range of 0.23 dBHz(4/5) has been demonstrated at an average detector photocurrent of 0.25 mA. This link employs a packaged InGaAsP electroabsorption waveguide modulator biased to suppress the third-order intermodulation distortion.
