A Specialists' Meeting on Corrosion Detection and Management of Advanced AirframeMaterials was held to present the current knowledge base of corrosion, degradation, detection and prevention and to identify the research and development issues which must be addressed in order to ensure long service life and low maintenance costs of NATO aircraft. The Meeting concentrated on Corrosion Detection, Test Methodology for Environmental Assessment, Mechanistic Evaluation, Corrosion Prevention Methods, and Materials Selection and Design to Prevent Environmental Degradation. jg.
