Characterization of Air Force Herbicide Usage in an Effort To Assist inRealization of DOD Pesticide Reduction Goals

The purpose of this research was to characterize herbicide usage in the Air Forcein order to aid efforts to meet the DoD goal of reducing pesticide usage by 50% by the end of fiscal year 2000. Descriptive statistical analyses were used to answer specific research questions: Research question 1: What are the particular herbicides being used in the Air Force today. Research Question 2: What activities on base are applying herbicides. Research Question 3: What is the intention of using each herbicide.
