Proceedings of International Symposium, Growth and Optical Properties of CompoundSemiconductors Held in Dayton, Ohio on November 13-14, 1995

摘要

The purpose of this symposium was to provide a forum for the discussion of recentdevelopments in the growth and optical studies of 111-V and Il-Vi semiconductors and their heterostructures. Both experimental and theoretical progress in the areas of synthesis, optical characterization and device applications was reviewed by an international panel of distinguished scientists. The future directions of research were discussed. The emergence of enormous interest in the study of wide-bandgap semiconducting systems in recent years and rapid progress made in this area were among the highlights of this symposium. The Symposium was attended by about seventy scientists from U.S., Japan, Germany and France.
