Flight Flutter Test of a Nomad N24A Aircraft Fitted with One Modified Aileron

A Nomad aileron was modified by the addition of strain gauges and associatedwiring, to permit its use in loads-measurement trials. This modification rendered the aileron non-standard, so a flight flutter trial was conducted to verify the aeroelastic stability of the loads aircraft when fitted with this aileron. This report describes the flight flutter trial and presents the results.
