An energy recovery pulse forming network and method thatrecovers at least a portion of the energy in a railgun bytran sferring energy dissipated from the railgun inductanceback to an initial source of the energy, such as an inputcapacitor, for use by the network. This reduces the amountof energy required from an external power source to chargethe input capacitor during subsequent railgun firings.
