摘要

Preliminary results in a simple model of disease spreading within a population of socially interacting mobile individuals are discussed. It is shown that when the traveling path of random walkers is varied from the local neighborhood to possible long-distance, a small-world effect appears affecting the percolation density that separates the endemic state from the disease-free state.
