摘要

Microsomal preparations from heterotrophic cell cultures of Solanum khasianum catalyse the hydroxylation of the alpha-methyl group of acetovanillone. The reaction requires both O-2 and NADPH. The enzyme is inhibited by CO (blue light reversible) and various cytochrome P450 inhibitors, indicating that the acetovanillone alpha-hydroxylase is a cytochrome-P450-dependent monooxygenase.
