摘要

In a recent paper by Zamankhan [1 ], the author claimed that the bed pressure drop can be predicted correctly by the 2D discrete particle model as opposite of what was demonstrated in our letter to the editor [2] on the phase coupling algorithm used in the work of Liu and Lu [3] on 2D discrete particle simulations of circulating fluidized bed riser. We rebut herein the analysis made in [1] regarding the phase coupling algorithm used for simulation of 2D fluidized beds.
