New international IChemE president

Ian Shott, CEO of pharmaceutical services company Excelsyn, is the new international president of IChemE. He succeeded Richard Darton, head of engineering science at Oxford University. In his presidential address he discussed the concept of accelerated evolution and outlined the key role biosciences will play in the future of chemical engineering.
