AC and DC magnetic measurements are made on the R2Mo2O7 (R = Er-Nd, Y) pyrochlores. The experimental data indicate that the ordering characteristics are spin-glass-like for R = Er-Tb and Y but ferromagnetic for Gd-Nd. A negative divergent behavior of nonlinear AC susceptibility at the transition temperature T-g is observed for Tb2Mo2O7. The rare-earth ions are found to remain paramagnetic below T-g, particularly for R = Er-Dy. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved. [References: 5]
