Pressure effect for metal-insulator transition in filled skutterudite PrRu4P12

The metal to insulator transition is observed at T-MI = 62 K in filled skutterudite PrRu4P12. We have measured the electrical resistance of single crystalline at high pressure up to 15 GPa. With increasing pressure, the semiconductor-like resistance was suppressed. We observed metallic behavior in the resistance above 11 GPa and below 50 K, while an anomaly was still observed at around 60 K. (c) 2005 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
